hi,

I have encoded films to mkv files via megui and there are fine, however when trying my first mp4 encoding, i have the following error message on quicktime:-

'Error - 2002, a bad public movie atom was found in the movie (Transformers muxed.mp4)'

however this film does play in media player classic but not on quicktime....

Video codec h264 (encoded using x264) audio codec 192 kpbs neroaac.

Does anyone know what the error message means and how to enable playback on quicktime, as i assume if it doesnt play on quicktime it won't play on iphone....

Do you have any more details on the encode? any at all? and error means nothing without good details.

Using anyone of the above allows CUDA encoding which accelerates encoding timing more than a few times than the conventional x264 encoding if you have an nVidia CUDA capable graphics card.

To check if your card is CUDA enabled:

Or check under System Information in your nVidia's Control Panel, look for CUDA.

HandBrake is much better IMO seeing as it was created with Apple Devices in mind and you will always have 100% compatibility with updates to make them better
